Well I used to think I was good at math but for the life of me, I can't figure out how MoR stacks with Fast Casting. I tested MoR with a FC of 10, giving me a 30% recharge decrease from FC and a permanant 33% from MoR. I went to the Isle of the nameless, and making sure to switch out of my 40/40 set to my defensive set, I calculated that a 10 second recharge spell (like empathy) will have its recharge reduced to 5 seconds. A 20 second spell (I used Energy Burn) will have its recharge reduced to 8.8 seconds. Finally, a 30 second spell (Chaos Storm) will have its recharge reduced to ~13.5 seconds. Is anyone seeing a pattern here because I sure am not.

My first question is this: Does anyone know how the recharge reduction from MoR stacks with the recharge reduction from fast casting?

My second question is how would Auspicious Incantation's effect be affected by the recharge reduction from MoR + FC?

FC would take effect first, followed by MoR. So a 20 sec recharge spell would get reduced by 30%, lowering it down to 14. Then MoR would take 33% of that lowering it to 9.3.

30 second spell lowered to 21 by FC, and then down to 14 from MoR.

I'm not entirely sure if auspicious would take effect at the beginning or the end

It calculates one of them first and calculates the other reduction second. I don't know which procs first. But it doesn't matter because it results in the same reduction.

Chaos Storm at 16 FC (.48 reduction) with MoR (.33 reduction) would recharge in 30 * .52 *.66 = 10.296

Auspicious would recharge in its base time * fast casting reduction * MoR reduction + duration increase from spell.

Thats because its not effected by the HSR etc
